I recently received a wedding thank you note written by a robot, most likely from a company such as Bond.co. I’m sure the bride and groom thought it was the way to go since everyone is so busy these days and no one would be the wiser. That may be true for some, but to me it was glaringly done by a robot and not handwritten at all which isn’t much different than just printing them out on your computer. I must say that I appreciated the acknowledgement that a gift was received so it was better than nothing.
I however, can’t stress enough that if you really want to come across as grateful please don’t use a computer for your notes of gratitude; it makes the recipient just feel duped. If you don’t have the time please do use a service that uses real people to write your message, the old fashioned way with a hand, brain and pen, www.thehandwrittencard.com. They won’t be perfectly written, but nor should they be. Your recipient will truly appreciate it.
